Summer is here at last. And this year we return to Forge Island yet again, to take part in the annual Summer festival! As soon as you get there, you will hear from the local Governor, who will offer you to take a spin on the mysterious 'Wheel of Fortune' and see what rewards it has in store for you! Then journey with the famous Pirate Jane to find even more rewards.
New this year you can spend Diamonds to purchase additional Rewards either from the Summer Bonus Prizes (one-off purchase) or the Piggy Bank (can be purchased more than once, see Piggy Bank for more details).

To access the event window, click on the Summer Event bar at the top left corner of the screen. The player will now see the Summer Event window (pictured above), containing the Wheel of Fortune, the Map, a neighbourhood actions log, and some buttons to spin or refresh the wheel.

Doubloon to call up a whole new set of prizes for the neighbourhood. Spinning or refreshing the wheel will still result in getting a prize on the new wheel.

You can see how many of each prize is left in the circle surrounding the image of the prize. If for example, you win one of a specific prize where four are available, it is removed from the wheel and only three of them will remain for your neighbors to win. This goes on until all the prizes in the wheel run out (or until one of your neighbors resets the wheel), at which point the wheel is automatically refreshed with a new set of prizes.
This is a special deal offered during the Summer Event. Each collected Piggy Bank will add a random item to this deal while the price remains unchanged. Collect Piggy Banks by landing on a circle with a Piggy Bank icon. Collect 8 Piggy Banks to get the most items for your diamonds.
At the right side of the event window you can find the Map. With each spin of the wheel you will get 1 Compass. To set sail simply click on the Compass at the bottom of the Compass Counter and then watch as it lets you know if you have travelled I, II or III Leagues along the map. For each complete map you will receive a Grand Prize. It takes 20 Leagues to complete a map and every Compass you collect will take you 1, 2 or 3 steps further on the map.

For example: Say you get an average of 2 Leagues each turn, then it will take you 10 turns (Compasses) to complete a map.
Every solved quest grants the player with a reward. The quests have to be solved in the order they are presented and no quests are abortable.
Upon completion of the Main Questline, the player will receive daily quests, at the rate of 1 per day. They will stack if the player isn't able to complete them on time.

The Premium Prizes are an additional optional set of prizes which you can get if you pay 1, 800 Diamonds (or 1, 200 Diamonds if Time Limited Discount is active). In simple terms, they can be considered as an extra set of Grand Prizes, as their requirements match those listed above.
A bonus Prize of the Forge Fountain is given at the start, once you have paid for these prizes with 1, 200 Diamonds (the Discount from 1, 800 Diamonds is misleading).

It appeared on the very last day of the event, which consisted of only a few hours, since the event ended at 11:30 in the morning.
If you uncover the tile with the shuffle symbol, you get a completely new set. With each uncovered tile you immediately get a small prize, which can occasionally be the daily special.
It is highly recommended to complete the daily challenge every day. This brings 1 to 3 more segments of a master key each time.

Each opening of a door on the calendar is rewarded with a small instant prize. Really rewarding is the reward for completing the calendar, mainly because of the Skull Cave.
This requires no road access and on a tiny 2×2 footprint it provides up to 20% attack bonus for both armies, city defense and attacking army. I did not manage to open all 32 doors of the calendar.
Each minted side you see adds a small square to the edge of the set. For every 20 small squares there is then a grand prize.

This year’s main prize is the Trading Post, which you can get immediately as a level 1 building as the very first Grand Prize without any upfront activity.
Then the trading post provides population, happiness, coins, up to 24 of a current good, up to 14 forge points, up to 19% attack bonus and up to 29% defense each for the attacking army.
This very special buccaneers bay upgrade kit, which can be assembled from 150 corresponding fragments, then enables the expansion of the trading post to a buccaneer bay, with then again significantly better values.
