“I felt the presence of God in Adoration. He let me know that I am enough, and at that moment, all my stress and anxiety was gone.”
Damascus Catholic Youth Summer Camp
My husband and I are proud of our daughter in a way we’ve never been before. She overcame some hardships while at camp that she would have turned away from at home. She faced fears by giving them to Jesus and continues to do so while home.
“Our students had the opportunity to have a few days away where they felt loved, safe, and had an amazing encounter with Jesus, most of them for the first time. They have come back and shared with their friends and teachers about the power of prayer.”
Is a community of missionaries who are passionate about bringing revival to the Catholic Church. The polls and the pews tell the story of a crisis of faith, where over 80% of young people are leaving the church within 10 years of their confirmation. In response, we believe that God is inviting us to partner with Him in reversing the trends and rewriting the story towards renewed hope and life in Him. We believe that when a generation of people are awakened to God’s love, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and equipped with the tools to live a life on mission, it will change the world.
Review: Camp Damascus By Chuck Tingle
Since the inception of Catholic Youth Summer Camp in 2001, we have seen thousands of lives transformed through encounters with the living God. In 2016, the Lord blessed us with 500 acres in Centerburg, OH and we began to build a campus to serve the youth of the Church. We dreamed big, but God dreamed bigger.
What started with a handful of missionaries serving 1, 000 youth a year, has grown to now be 250+ missionaries serving over 20, 000 each year through 3 summer camp locations and year-round ministry to parishes, schools, families, and dioceses across the country. As we boldly move forward to take the Gospel across this nation, we know that this is just the beginning of a movement to reclaim a lost generation for Jesus!Every detail of our campus in Centerburg, OH was designed to help people live the adventure of the Catholic faith. Through the generosity of mission partners, we continue to expand our capacity to provide a world-class, high-adventure experience to more young people.

Summer Camp Guide
Check-in for most retreats will happen at the main lodge, but you might stop here if you’re visiting for a tour, need directions, or have a special delivery.
At CYSC and all programs, we have a policy we like to call “challenge by choice”. That means every camper will be invited to participate in each activity, but no one will be forced to go too far beyond their comfort zone. We encourage campers to take the next step in a way that will help them grow and develop greater confidence.Young people of this generation are more likely to lose their faith than ever before: 5 out of 6 will stop practicing their Catholic faith within 10 years of their Confirmation.

A week at Catholic Youth Summer Camp is a chance for students in grades 6-12 to step away from the distractions of daily life and experience high-adventure activities that lead to a high-adventure faith.

Camp Damascus Is A Hopeful Story Of Queer Struggle And Survival
So grateful that you inspired a thirst for Jesus in a reluctant boy who was focused on sports & anything but 'church.' Thank you for showing how great it can be. I’ve seen a huge change in him.
Before I came to I was in a very bad place. I felt so alone and that nobody could fix me. But I came with an open heart, and I have never felt so much joy and peace! I have given my life to Jesus because He gave me His.
My son had a fantastic time at camp and came home with a deeper faith and understanding of his relationship with Christ. Since coming home he has continued to make prayer a priority and share his experience with others. He was engaged and fully participated in Mass instead of waiting for it to end. His experience has made an impact on the rest of our family and his siblings are all asking to go to camp now.
